- Return the handle to the upright park position.

Do not leave the roller running while the cleaner is stationary, as this could damage the floor.

Wash the removed roller and cover under running water. Check the mesh and sponge filters and clean them as needed.
Do not immerse the cleaner body, cleaning head, charger or electrical parts in water. Avoid solvents, abrasive materials, hard brushes and metallic or sharp cleaning tools.
For the full routine, select “How to clean the roller, tanks and filters” from our MRX Complete Pro 740002 support hub.
4. Allow the removable parts to dry
The sponge filter must be fully dry before refitting. Allow the roller to dry before refitting when the cleaner will not be used immediately.
Place cleaned components in a well-ventilated area where they can dry naturally.
- Do not enclose a damp roller beneath its cover for storage.
- Do not put components on radiators or use direct heat to dry them.

Once the parts are dry, reassemble the cleaner and check that the tanks, filters, roller and cover are securely fitted.

Store the cleaner:
- Upright in the park position on its storage base.
- In a dry indoor location, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Away from ovens, radiators and other heat sources.
- Where it will not be knocked over or obstruct a walkway.
The manual recommends an ambient storage temperature of 10°C–40°C. Avoid locations exposed to freezing conditions or excessive heat.
Keep the cleaner upright when moving it to storage. Avoid laying it on its side, particularly while either tank contains water.
7. Charge safely if needed
Use the supplied charger or a replacement supplied or approved by Morphy Richards for model 740002.
Before connecting it, make sure your hands, the charging connector and the cleaner’s charging socket are dry. Position the cable so it cannot be pulled, trapped or tripped over.
Do not leave the product unattended while charging.
If the cleaner stopped during use because overheating protection may have activated, allow it to cool and complete the relevant cleaning and blockage checks before further use.
If you notice a burning smell, smoke, unusual swelling, excessive heat or electrical damage, do not use or charge the cleaner. Contact Customer Support.
Charging and cut-out guidance is available through our MRX Complete Pro 740002 support hub.
How should I store it for a longer period?
Before leaving the cleaner unused for an extended period:
- Empty and clean both tanks.
- Clean the roller, cover and filters.
- Allow all cleaned removable parts to dry thoroughly.
- Reassemble the cleaner.
- Disconnect the charger from the appliance and wall socket.
- Store the cleaner upright on its base in the recommended conditions.
Before the next use, inspect the components, check the battery charge and refill the clean water tank with fresh water and correctly measured cleaning solution if required.
Do not open the cleaner or attempt to remove its built-in battery for storage.
Why does my cleaner smell after storage?
Dirty water, trapped debris or components stored while damp can develop stale or musty smells.
Clean and dry the removable parts thoroughly. Further checks are available under “Smells unpleasant” in our MRX Complete Pro 740002 support hub.
A burning or electrical smell requires separate assessment. Stop using or charging the cleaner and contact our team.
Why is there water beneath the cleaner?
Check that:
- Both tanks have been emptied.
- The storage base and floor beneath it are dry.
- The tank caps and components are securely fitted.
- The cleaner has remained upright.
If water continues to escape, stop using the cleaner and contact Customer Support. If water has reached the charging connection or electrical parts, do not connect the charger.
