Before you start
Switch the cleaner off and disconnect it from the charger before removing components or carrying out maintenance.
- Place the cleaner upright in the park position.
- Never immerse the cleaner body, cleaning head, charger or electrical components in water.
- Keep water away from electrical connections.
- Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaning products, hard brushes or metallic or sharp objects.
- Only rinse removable parts as described below.
1. Remove and clean the roller
- With the floor-cleaning head facing you, pull the roller-cover release lever forwards and remove the cover.
- Lift the lever at the left-hand end of the roller and remove the roller.
- Remove hair, threads and trapped debris, including around the roller ends.
- Wash the removed roller under running water until visible dirt and residue have been cleared.
If you will not use the cleaner immediately after cleaning, allow the roller to dry before refitting.
2. Clean the roller cover and compartment
- Wash the removed roller cover under running water.
- Check the exposed roller compartment and accessible suction inlet for trapped debris.
- Gently remove accessible debris using the supplied cleaning brush where it can reach.
- Wipe accessible surfaces with a damp cloth.
Do not force the brush into openings, push debris further inside or dismantle the cleaning head.
Do not pour water into the cleaning head or rinse the cleaner body under a tap. If a blockage is out of reach, contact Customer Support for guidance.
3. Empty and clean the dirty water tank
Empty the dirty water tank after each cleaning session and immediately when it reaches the MAX mark during use.
- Press the dirty water tank release button and pull the tank away from the cleaner.
- Remove the tank lid and filter assembly.
- Pour away the dirty water.
- Rinse the tank thoroughly with warm water.
- Use the supplied cleaning brush to remove deposits from inside the tank.
- Rinse the lid and check that the float is free from debris and moves freely.
Remove any film or deposits from the tank surfaces and wipe them dry. Do not leave dirty water in the tank between uses.
4. Clean the mesh and sponge filters
With the dirty water tank lid and filter assembly removed:
- Remove debris from the mesh filter.
- Rinse the mesh filter thoroughly with clean water.
- Remove the sponge filter from its holder.
- Gently clear attached dirt or debris.
- Rinse the sponge filter thoroughly with clean water.
- Allow the sponge filter to dry fully before reassembling.
Never operate the cleaner without its filters installed. Do not refit a wet sponge filter.
Check the filters for damage before refitting. If a filter is damaged, contact Customer Support for advice about a suitable replacement before using the cleaner again.
5. Rinse the clean water tank
- Remove the clean water tank and open its cap.
- Empty any remaining water or cleaning solution.
- Rinse the inside with clean water. Do not use hot water.
- Inspect the cap and outlet valve area for visible residue, debris or damage.
- Wipe the outside dry.
Do not insert tools into the outlet valve or dismantle it.
If the outlet appears blocked or water is not reaching the roller, use the “Not releasing water or roller staying dry” guide available through our MRX Complete Pro 740002 support hub.
Do not add household chemicals or improvised cleaning mixtures to flush the appliance.
6. Reassemble the cleaner
Before using the cleaner again, make sure all components are clean and the sponge filter is fully dry.
- Reassemble the filters and dirty water tank lid.
- Insert the bottom of the dirty water tank first, then push its upper section into place until it clicks.
- Close the clean water tank cap securely and refit the tank until it clicks.
- Insert the roller end without the lever first.
- Press the roller’s lever end down until it snaps into position.
- Align the roller cover with the slots on the cleaning head and press until it clicks.
Do not force components into place. If a part will not fit securely, check for debris or incorrect alignment.
7. Clean the storage base and store the appliance
Wipe water and residue from the storage base and dry it.
Store the cleaner upright on its base in a dry location, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Before longer periods of storage, empty the tanks and allow cleaned removable parts to dry. Allow the roller to dry before refitting if the cleaner will not be used immediately.
Does self-cleaning replace manual cleaning?
No. Self-cleaning helps with routine care, but hair, threads and stubborn dirt may still need to be removed separately.
After self-cleaning:
- Empty and rinse the dirty water tank.
- Inspect the roller and cover for remaining debris.
- Check and clean the filters.
- Allow the sponge filter to dry fully before refitting.
For the operating instructions, select “How to use the self-clean function” from our MRX Complete Pro 740002 support hub.
When should I check for blockages?
Inspect the accessible suction inlet and roller compartment if you notice:
- Reduced water pick-up.
- Excess water left on the floor.
- An unusual noise.
- The roller struggling to turn.
- The cleaner stopping during use.
Always switch the cleaner off and disconnect it from the charger before inspecting or clearing debris.
If the cleaner repeatedly stops, or you cannot safely remove a blockage, stop using it and contact Customer Support.
