Regular cleaning will help keep your Morphy Richards Halo 1.5L Alexa Kettle looking its best.
Follow the steps below to safely clean your kettle.
Before you start
Before cleaning your kettle:
- Disconnect the plug from the mains supply
- Allow the kettle to cool completely
- Remove the kettle from its cordless power base
Warning: Never immerse the kettle or cordless power base in water or any other liquid.
How to clean your Alexa Kettle
1. Switch off and unplug the kettle
Always disconnect the plug from the mains supply and allow the kettle to cool before cleaning.
2. Clean the outside of the kettle
Wipe the outside of the kettle using a damp cloth.
Take care around the controls, display and electrical connection areas.
3. Avoid abrasive cleaners
Don't use abrasive cleaners on the outside of your kettle.
Abrasive cleaning products may scratch or damage the surface.
4. Keep the power base dry
Always keep the top of the cordless power base dry, particularly around the electrical connection area.
If the base becomes wet, disconnect it from the power supply before drying it.
Allow the base to dry thoroughly before reconnecting it to the mains supply.
5. Make sure everything is dry
Before placing the kettle back onto its power base, make sure the kettle and all electrical connection areas are completely dry.
What should I avoid when cleaning my Alexa Kettle?
To help protect your kettle:
- Don't immerse the kettle in water
- Don't immerse the cordless power base in water
- Don't use abrasive cleaners on the outside of the kettle
- Don't reconnect the power base if the electrical connection area is wet
- Don't attempt to dismantle the kettle for cleaning
If you notice a build-up of limescale inside your kettle, this requires descaling rather than normal cleaning.
