What is the capacity of the Alexa Kettle?
The Morphy Richards Halo Alexa Kettle has a maximum capacity of 1.5 litres.
When filling your kettle, always use the minimum and maximum fill levels as your guide.
Important: Don't fill the kettle below the minimum fill line or above the MAX line.
How to fill your Alexa Kettle
1. Remove the kettle from the power base
Always remove the kettle from the cordless power base before filling it with water.
The kettle shouldn't be on the power base while it's being filled.
2. Fill the kettle with water
Use the lid pull handle to remove the lid and carefully fill the kettle with water.
Alternatively, you can fill the kettle through the spout without removing the lid.
3. Check the minimum and maximum levels
Make sure the water is:
- Above the minimum fill line
- No higher than the MAX line
Don't overfill the kettle, as boiling water may be ejected if the kettle contains too much water.
4. Only boil the water you need
You don't need to fill your kettle to 1.5L every time you use it.
For greater efficiency, only boil as much water as you need, while always making sure you're above the minimum fill level.
Make sure the lid is fitted correctly after filling.
5. Place the kettle back on the power base
Once filled, place the kettle securely back onto its cordless power base.
You can then use the controls on your kettle or your available Alexa features to heat the water.
How does the Digital Water Level Indicator work?
Your Morphy Richards Alexa Kettle has a Digital Water Level Indicator to help you see how much water is in the kettle.
The display uses bars to indicate the amount of water in the kettle.
Always use the minimum and maximum fill markings when filling the kettle and don't rely on exceeding these limits.
What happens if I overfill my Alexa Kettle?
Don't fill your kettle above the MAX line.
If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected, which could cause a risk of scalding.
If you've accidentally added too much water, remove the kettle from its power base and carefully reduce the water level before using it.
Can I boil a small amount of water?
Yes, you can boil smaller amounts of water, provided the water is not below the minimum fill line.
Only boiling the amount of water you need can also help reduce unnecessary energy and water use.
