Having trouble connecting your Morphy Richards Halo 1.5L Alexa Kettle to your Wi-Fi network? Follow the steps below to check your Wi-Fi connection and connect your kettle through the Amazon Alexa app.
Before you start
You'll need:
- Your Morphy Richards Halo 1.5L Alexa Kettle
- A smartphone or tablet with the Amazon Alexa app installed
- An Amazon account
- Your Wi-Fi network and password
- Your kettle connected to the power supply
Make sure your phone or tablet is connected to the Wi-Fi network you want to use with your kettle before you begin.
How to connect your Alexa Kettle to Wi-Fi
1. Open the Alexa app
Open the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone or tablet.
Make sure you're signed into the Amazon account you want to use with your kettle.
2. Go to your kettle
Open the Devices section of the Alexa app and select your Morphy Richards Kettle.
If you haven't set up your kettle yet, follow our guide:

If you can't scan the QR code, you can set up your kettle manually:

3. Check your Wi-Fi network
During setup, Alexa will ask you to select the Wi-Fi network you want your kettle to use.
Select your home Wi-Fi network and enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
Make sure you enter the password correctly, including any capital letters, numbers or special characters.
4. Keep your kettle close to your router
During the Wi-Fi setup process, keep your kettle reasonably close to your Wi-Fi router.
A weak Wi-Fi signal can prevent your kettle from connecting successfully.
Once your kettle has connected, you can return it to its usual position.
5. Allow Alexa to connect your kettle
Follow the instructions in the Alexa app and allow a moment for your kettle to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Keep the kettle switched on and connected to the power supply while the connection is being completed.
6. Confirm the connection
Once your Alexa Kettle has successfully connected, it will appear in the Devices section of the Alexa app.
You can now use the Alexa app to access your kettle and its available smart features.
Having trouble connecting your Alexa Kettle to Wi-Fi?
If your Morphy Richards Alexa Kettle won't connect to Wi-Fi, try the following.
Check your Wi-Fi password
Make sure you've entered the correct Wi-Fi password.
Wi-Fi passwords are case-sensitive, so check that all letters, numbers and special characters have been entered correctly.
If you've recently changed your Wi-Fi password, you'll need to reconnect your kettle using the new password.
Check your Wi-Fi connection
Make sure your smartphone or tablet is connected to your home Wi-Fi and that you have a working internet connection.
If other devices are also having trouble connecting to your Wi-Fi, the issue may be with your router rather than your kettle.
Check your Wi-Fi signal
If your kettle is a long way from your router, the Wi-Fi signal may not be strong enough for the setup to complete.
Try moving your kettle closer to your router while connecting it.
Check your router
If your Wi-Fi isn't working correctly, restart your router and wait for your internet connection to return before trying to connect your kettle again.
If you're unsure whether your Wi-Fi network is compatible with your kettle, contact your internet service provider or check your router settings.
Restart the setup
If your kettle still won't connect, close and reopen the Alexa app and try the setup again.
If necessary, start the setup process again from:
Devices → + → Add Device → Kettle → Morphy Richards
If you're setting up your kettle manually, select Don't have a code? and follow the instructions in our manual setup guide.
