If your Morphy Richards Halo 1.5L Alexa Kettle has no power, or the display and controls aren't illuminating, follow the checks below.
Before you start
Make sure the kettle and cordless power base are dry before carrying out any checks.
Important: Always keep the top of the cordless power base dry, particularly around the connection area. Disconnect the power supply before drying and allow it to dry thoroughly before reconnecting.
What to check if your Alexa Kettle has no power
1. Check the power supply
Make sure the kettle's power base is securely connected to the mains socket.
Check that the socket is switched on.
2. Check the kettle is positioned correctly
Make sure the kettle is sitting correctly on its cordless power base.
Lift the kettle off the base and reposition it securely.
3. Check for signs of power
When connected to the mains supply, the kettle should beep and the Power symbol should illuminate, indicating that it's in standby mode.
Touch the Power symbol to illuminate the full control screen.
4. Check the mains socket
If there's still no power, check whether the mains socket is working by testing another suitable appliance in the same socket.
If the other appliance also doesn't work, there may be an issue with the power supply rather than your kettle.
5. Check the plug and cable
Check the mains cable and plug for any visible signs of damage.
Warning: Don't use the kettle if the mains cable is damaged. A damaged mains cable must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person.
6. Check the base is dry
Make sure the top of the cordless power base and the connection area are completely dry.
If there's any moisture present, disconnect the power supply and allow the base to dry thoroughly before reconnecting it.
Still no power?
If you've checked the power supply, socket and kettle position and your Morphy Richards Alexa Kettle still has no power, don't attempt to dismantle or repair the kettle yourself.
