Keeping your fan clean helps maintain good airflow and keeps your Morphy Richards Air Flex 6” Portable Oscillating Rechargeable USB Fan (820003/01) looking and performing at its best.
Over time, dust can build up around the front grille and fan blades. The Air Flex 6” has been designed with a removable front grille, making it easy to access the blades for cleaning.
How to clean your Air Flex 6” fan
Before cleaning your fan, make sure it is switched off and disconnected from any USB charging cable.
Watch our step-by-step video below to see how to safely remove the front grille and clean the fan blades.
Step 1: Switch off and unplug your fan
Make sure the fan is switched off before you begin cleaning.
If the fan is connected to a USB-C charging cable, disconnect it before starting.
Allow the fan blades to come to a complete stop before handling the fan.
Step 2: Remove the front grille
Follow the steps shown in the video to carefully remove the front grille from the fan.
Take care when handling the grille and avoid applying excessive force. The grille should be removed using the method demonstrated in our cleaning video.
Step 3: Clean the fan blades
Once the front grille has been removed, you can access the three fan blades.
Carefully clean away any dust or debris from the blades. A soft, dry or slightly damp cloth can be used to remove surface dust.
Do not allow water or other liquids to enter the fan or come into contact with the motor, controls, charging port or other electrical components.
Step 4: Clean the front grille
Clean the removed front grille separately to remove any dust or debris that has accumulated on the surface.
Make sure the grille is completely dry before refitting it to the fan.
Step 5: Refit the front grille
Once the blades and grille are clean and completely dry, refit the front grille following the reverse of the removal process shown in the video.
Make sure the grille is securely and correctly fitted before switching the fan back on.
