If your Power 2400W SteamElite Plus Steam Generator will not start the Auto Clean cycle or the cycle stops before completion, this is usually caused by low water levels, incorrect water mix, or obstructed components — not a product defect.
Follow the steps below to safely run the Auto Clean cycle.
♻️ 1. Check the Water Tank
Ensure the detachable water tank is filled sufficiently to complete the Auto Clean cycle.
The Low Water Level indicator light will prevent Auto Clean from starting if the tank is too low.
Use the recommended 50% tap water + 50% deionised/distilled water mix.
❌ Avoid scented water, ironing water, or pure demineralised water — these can prevent the cycle from completing properly.
🌡️ 2. Ensure the Unit is Ready
Make sure the iron is switched off and fully cooled down before starting Auto Clean.
Place the steam generator on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
Press the On/Off button to begin the Auto Clean cycle.
The descale indicator light will flash while the cycle runs (approx. 3 minutes).
⚠️ Do not remove the water tank during the cycle — water will be very hot.
🪣 3. Check the Dirty Water Chamber
After the cycle finishes, remove and empty the dirty water chamber completely.
Leaving water in the chamber may prevent the next Auto Clean cycle from starting or trigger overflow.
Minor water in the chamber during the cycle is normal — only empty after completion.
⚡ 4. Avoid Common Mistakes
Do not try to run Auto Clean with insufficient water, as the system will pause.
Do not move or jolt the base while the cycle is running.
Running Auto Clean before 5 litres of water is used is safe and can help maintain performance.
📞 5. Auto Clean Still Not Working?
If Auto Clean does not start or complete after following these steps:
Take clear photos of the base, water tank, dirty water chamber, and control panel.
Gather your proof of purchase, model number, and serial number.
Submit a claim via our Warranty Claim Form.
Our team will review your case and guide you promptly.
