Understanding Your Morphy Richards Warranty
Your Morphy Richards warranty covers manufacturing faults and defects in workmanship. The length of cover depends on your purchase date, the product’s advertised warranty and whether registration is required.
This guide explains your warranty period, what is covered and how to request support.
How long is my warranty?
Purchases made directly from morphyrichards.co.uk
Products purchased directly from www.morphyrichards.co.uk automatically qualify for their applicable extended warranty. You do not need to register separately, as we hold a record of your purchase.
For most current appliances, this means three years of cover from the original purchase date. Where a product is advertised with a different extended warranty, that advertised period applies.
Purchases from other retailers from August 2023 onwards
Most appliances purchased from August 2023 onwards have a standard two-year guarantee from the original purchase date.
To qualify for three years of cover, register your appliance within 28 days of purchase and agree to join Morphy Rewards during registration.
If you do not register within 28 days, the standard two-year guarantee still applies.
Some products carry a different advertised warranty, as explained below.
Purchases made before August 2023
Products purchased before August 2023 generally have a standard one-year guarantee.
Products registered within 28 days of purchase may qualify for longer cover. The applicable warranty varies by product and can range from one to five years.
Check the instruction manual supplied with your product and your registration confirmation to establish the warranty period.
Products with a different advertised warranty
Some products have a warranty that differs from the standard periods above. Examples include:
- Certain older-stock appliances advertised with a four-year guarantee when registered.
- Certain housewares with a five-year warranty when registered.
- Certain pan sets with a 15-year warranty when registered.
We honour the warranty advertised when the product was sold, provided the applicable warranty conditions have been met.
For purchases from other retailers, these extended warranties require registration within 28 days of purchase. Direct purchases from www.morphyrichards.co.uk automatically qualify for the applicable extended warranty.
Keep your proof of purchase, registration confirmation where applicable, and any packaging or product information showing the advertised warranty.
How do I register my product?
If you purchased from another retailer:
- Visit the Morphy Richards UK product registration page.
- Enter your product’s model and serial numbers.
- Provide your purchase date, retailer and contact details.
- Upload your proof of purchase, if available.
- Agree to join Morphy Rewards as part of registration.
- Submit the form within 28 days of purchase and keep your registration confirmation.
Registration is required for eligible extended cover. Your standard guarantee still applies without registration.
For more help with registration, read our Morphy Richards Warranty Registration: How to Register guide.
What is Morphy Rewards?
Morphy Rewards is our rewards programme, allowing you to earn points towards money off future purchases.
You must agree to join when registering for extended warranty cover. You can opt out of Morphy Rewards at any time.
Visit the Morphy Rewards page for more information about the programme and its benefits.
Do I need proof of purchase?
Purchases from another retailer
Proof of purchase is required to confirm where and when your product was bought.
If you uploaded proof of purchase during registration, we can check the document held on your record. If you did not upload it, you will need to provide it when making a warranty claim.
Registering your product does not replace the need for proof of purchase.
Purchases from morphyrichards.co.uk
We hold a record of direct website purchases. Please provide your order number and the email address used for the order so we can locate your purchase.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers manufacturing faults and defects in workmanship during the applicable warranty period, provided the product has been used and maintained in accordance with its instructions.
Our team will first help you troubleshoot the problem. Many common issues can be resolved through simple checks, cleaning or adjustments.
If troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, we will assess the information provided and confirm the next steps. In some cases, we may ask for the product to be returned to our Quality Assurance team for examination or further investigation.
Where an examination is needed, we will explain the return arrangements. Any proposed resolution will depend on the findings and the applicable warranty terms. Please do not return or dispose of the product unless our team has advised you to do so.
We do not offer a repair service.
Are consumable parts covered?
Consumable parts are covered for manufacturing faults for the first six months from the original purchase date, even where the product has a longer warranty.
Examples include:
- Coffee carafes and jugs.
- Kettle, iron and coffee filters.
- Lids and water tanks.
- Filler caps and similar replaceable parts.
After six months, these parts are not covered under the warranty. Normal wear and tear and accidental damage are excluded throughout the warranty period.
Many replacement parts are available from the Morphy Richards UK online store. Check that the part is listed as compatible with your model before purchasing.
What is not covered?
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Accidental damage, including damage caused by dropping or breaking a product or part.
- Misuse or failure to follow the product’s instructions.
- Damage caused by incorrect cleaning, maintenance or storage.
- Unauthorised repairs or modifications.
- Non-domestic or commercial use.
- Consumable parts after the first six months from purchase.
We assess the reported issue and the product’s condition to establish whether it falls within the applicable warranty cover.
Who provides warranty support for my product?
Morphy Richards products have been supplied by different companies under licence. The company responsible for warranty support depends on the specific product, not simply where you purchased it.
Consumer Brands Limited currently supplies Morphy Richards products, including microwaves and housewares. However, some retailers may still sell stock previously supplied under licence by Argos or RKW Ltd.
How to identify the responsible company
Check your product’s rating label or manufacturer/importer information, usually located on the back or base. Look for the company named as the manufacturer, importer or distributor:
- Consumer Brands Limited: Contact our Morphy Richards UK Customer Support team for warranty support.
- Argos: If the label identifies Argos as the importer or supplier under licence, Argos is responsible for warranty support throughout the applicable warranty period. Contact Argos directly.
- RKW Ltd: If the product information identifies RKW Ltd as the responsible company, warranty support is provided by RKW, rather than Consumer Brands Limited. Contact RKW or the original retailer for assistance.
Buying a product from Argos does not automatically mean Argos provides its manufacturer warranty. Argos also sells Morphy Richards products supplied by Consumer Brands Limited. Check the information on your particular product to identify who is responsible.
The same applies to housewares: some were supplied by RKW Ltd, while newer products may be supplied by Consumer Brands Limited. The product type alone does not identify the warranty provider.
Not sure who to contact?
Complete our support form, including the model or product number and a clear photograph of the rating label or manufacturer/importer information.
Our team can help identify the appropriate warranty support provider.
How do I make a warranty claim?
The easiest way to request support is to complete our warranty support form. The form helps us collect the information needed to assess your query.
Please provide:
- Your product’s model and serial numbers.
- The purchase date and retailer, or your Morphy Richards UK order number.
- Proof of purchase, if it was not uploaded during registration.
- Your warranty registration confirmation, where applicable.
- A clear description of the issue and any troubleshooting already attempted.
- Clear photographs or a short video showing the issue, where possible.
We may request additional photographs or video to help us understand the problem, check the product’s condition and identify the appropriate next step. Only record the issue if it is safe to do so.
Our team will review your information, guide you through any relevant troubleshooting and confirm what happens next.
Does a replacement start a new warranty?
No. A replacement supplied under warranty retains the expiry date of the original product’s warranty. The warranty does not restart when a replacement is provided.
Unsure which warranty applies?
Complete our warranty support form and include your model number, purchase details and any information showing the advertised warranty.
Our team can help confirm the applicable cover.
Your warranty is additional to your statutory rights and does not affect them.
